Privacy policy
Fix & Fold is a phone-parts merge game. It is published by Bun Mobile Games, part of Bun Mobile Phone Clinic (trading as The Mobile Phone Clinic) in Australia ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Without an account
You can play without an account. Your coins, game boards, stats, awards and settings are saved only on your phone, and we don't collect anything about you apart from anonymous error reports and what Google collects for ads, purchases and Google Play Games (below). Daily reminder notifications are set on your phone itself; we don't send them or know when you get them, and you can turn them off in Settings.
If you make an account
An account is optional. It backs up your progress and puts your scores on the weekly leaderboard.
| Information | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Your email address and password | To create and sign in to your account. Your password is stored encrypted by our hosting provider; we can't see it. |
| A backup of your game progress: your coins (earned and spent), best scores, all-time stats, awards, daily missions and streak, and your current game boards | So your progress isn't lost if you change phones or reinstall the app. Only you can see it. |
| Your leaderboard name (two words and a number, like "Swift Spudger 482") and your best Daily and Rush scores each week | To show the weekly leaderboard. Other players see your leaderboard name and score, never your email. |
| When your account was created and its email confirmed | To run your account and stop abuse. |
| Technical information our servers record, such as IP address and request times | To run the service securely and investigate abuse. |
Error reports
If something goes wrong in the game, it sends us the error message, where in the game it happened, the app version, and (if you're signed in) which account it happened on. We use this only to find and fix problems, and delete reports after 30 days.
Ads
The game shows ads from Google AdMob: a short ad between some rounds, and optional reward videos for helpers like an undo or extra moves. Buying Remove ads stops the ads between rounds. If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent through Google's consent form before any ad is requested, and you can change your answer any time under Earn, Settings, Ad privacy choices. Google may collect information from your device, such as your advertising ID, IP address, approximate location and how you interact with ads, to show and measure ads. Ads never pay coins, and we don't pass Google your account number. Google's use of this information is covered by Google's partner policy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or limit ad personalisation, in your Android settings.
In-app purchases
Purchases are made through Google Play, which handles your payment details and your Google account. We never see your payment details. The game asks Google Play which items you own to deliver them and to restore Remove ads if you reinstall, and keeps that on your phone. See the Google privacy policy.
Usage statistics
On Android the game uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count how it's played: for example rounds started, Daily targets hit, reward videos watched and purchases made, along with an app instance ID, device model, Android version, language and approximate location from your IP address. We use this only to see which parts of the game people enjoy and where they get stuck, so we can improve it. It isn't linked to your account, name or email address, and we don't use it for ads. Detailed analytics data is deleted after 2 months.
Google Play Games
If you use Google Play Games on your phone, the game signs in with your Play Games profile to unlock achievements and post scores to the Play Games leaderboards. Google Play Games keeps your gamer name, avatar, player ID, achievements and scores, and collects diagnostic data to keep the service working. That profile belongs to your Google account; we never see your name or email address, and it is separate from a Fix & Fold account. You can delete your Play Games data from your Play Games profile.
Who we share it with
- Supabase hosts our accounts, progress backups, leaderboards and error reports. The servers are in Singapore.
- Google AdMob serves the ads, as described above.
- Google Play processes, checks and restores purchases.
- Google Analytics for Firebase measures how the game is played, as described above.
- Google Play Games keeps your achievements and leaderboard scores, and shows your gamer name and scores to other players as your Play Games privacy settings allow.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it. All information the game sends is encrypted in transit.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and backup while your account exists. When you delete your account, your login, progress backup and leaderboard scores are deleted straight away, along with any records left from earlier versions of the app (below), and your account is removed from error reports. Google keeps advertising, purchase, analytics and Play Games data under its own policy, and your Google Play order history stays in your Google account.
Earlier versions
Before version 0.2.0 (1 November 2026), the app also kept a coin history on our server, gift-card cash-out requests, invite codes and a scrambled phone ID used to stop one person cashing out from many accounts. The current app doesn't collect any of these. Records already made are kept only until the account is deleted.
Your choices
- Delete your account at any time, in the app or by email. See Delete your account.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it, by emailing admin@themobilephoneclinic.com.au.
- Play without an account, and we won't hold any information about you.
Age
Fix & Fold is for people aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes and complaints
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app. If you have a privacy concern, email admin@themobilephoneclinic.com.au and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
